There are hundreds of stock pages on the web, some have been around for decades like Yahoo, while others barely last a year (some notable flameouts include Portfolio Monkey, Passfail, Vuru, Daily Finance, OptionCast, optionMONSTER). Some sites try to make you pay for anything useful, others are committed to providing quality investment data to the public at no cost (though even fewer offer an API out of the goodness of their hearts).
Google Finance was our perennial favorite until Alphabet decided it wasn't making enough money with the site (and/or couldn't figure out how to upgrade its wonderful flash charts), and integrated an utterly useless amount of that financial information within its search function, making no one happy.
Anyway, here's our list of the best ticker-based websites.

SA Footnote: Be careful, as Seeking Alpha is notorious for getting you hooked on a feature then jacking up the price as it tries to reinvent its business model, yet again!
